I. General Trade Situation
In October 2025, the total import and export volume of products in China's metal packaging industry was $492.3925 million, down 3.29% year-on-year; the export value was $462.6741 million, down 2.70% year-on-year; the import value was $29.7184 million, down 11.69% year-on-year. From January to October 2025, the cumulative import and export volume of products in China's metal packaging industry was $522.94364 million, up 4.32% year-on-year; the cumulative export value was $485.4464 million, up 5.06% year-on-year; the cumulative import value was $37.49725 million, down 4.42% year-on-year.

In October 2025, the top five products in terms of export value in China's metal packaging industry were (other plug, cap, lid, or sealing core accessories for packaging made of base metals), (non-retail steel containers for compressed or liquefied gases), (steel tanks, barrels, or other containers for materials with a capacity>300L), (other steel tanks with welded or rolled edges for materials with a capacity <50L), and (other steel containers for materials with a capacity <50L).
In October, the export values of these five product categories were USD 128.1864 million, USD 98.5532 million, USD 88.0244 million, USD 37.6152 million, and USD 30.2824 million respectively, with year-on-year growth rates of 6.05%, -10.63%,3.59%, -19.38%, and-22.29%.
From January to October 2025, the top five export products in China's metal packaging industry were (other metal-made plugs, caps, lids, and sealing cores for packaging accessories), (non-retail steel containers for compressed or liquefied gases), (steel tanks, barrels, and other containers for materials with a capacity>300L), (other steel tanks with edge-embedded or rolled edges for materials with a capacity <50L), and (other steel containers for materials with a capacity <50L).
The export values of these five product categories were USD 139,058.59 million, USD 98,859.93 million, USD 86,845.29 million, USD 44,731.43 million, and USD 36,734.37 million respectively, with year-on-year growth rates of 15.09%,1.72%,0.95%, -10.59%, and-3.81% respectively.
